2,000 Domestic Skimmers Going Unused in Gulf Crisis – Understanding Admin’s ‘Logic’

h/t Wayne:

“They said, look, some of these skimmers we can’t take from other places in the country because they may need them for an oil spill.” – Senator George LeMieux tells The Shark Tank

From Liberty Juice:

If one was a cynic than you would believe that the complete inaction on the part of this adminstration was purposeful and used in an effort to perhaps ram through their agenda.  A crisis was created, its almost as if it is deliberately not being fixed, clear options on the table are not being used and one can only wonder why!

This is the WORST most GLARING form of the “the end justifies the means” ever in the history of mankind. Why is our young liberal progressive president not outraged at the glaring gaffs of our bureaucracy in our first world nation that has an embarrassingly third world response to a environmental catastrophe of this nature?

And BP is going to pay for all the cleanup that should never have been needed. Everyone with their retirement funds in a mutual fund that is invested in BP are going to lose their savings. All the people who have small businesses–like restaurants, people who own beach front rentals, all of them are going to lose their investment. The cities, counties and states are going to lose revenue. Everyone is going to be more dependent on the federal government.

This “disaster” and I don’t mean the oil spill, will be felt for many years to come. Some people will never recover fully from it.

On the one hand I regret living long enough to see the country in this shape, at the same time I hope I live long enough to recover from the Obama-nation.

call me cynic. Wonder why everything/option that is working to lessen the damage is stopped. Whether inspections or environmental concerns; all these could be addressed and suspended by the Goofer, oops Golfer, oops Administration, or is this the crisis needed.
